Almost in every single game, the Indonesian people always hear jarring chant on TV even though you're not playing at Anfield Stadium. It shows how the fans love you like they love Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.

You came in summer 2007, along with your “big” name as a skipper of Atletico Madrid. Your achievement in your first season at Liverpool FC, make us love and adore you even more. In short time, you became a new idol to us, from older to younger.

With your compatriot friend from Spain, you made Liverpool have a passion to compete in prestigious path of EPL. Your sinergy with local player, such as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, make our rival (more) affraid with the big name of LiverpoolFC.

We’re still remembered how you beat MU 1-4 at Old Trafford by “defeating” Vidic to make a first goal. I’m still proud of you when you “break” Petr Chech’s gate at Anfield this season. It was a spectacular goal from a fantastic person as you are. There are a lot of good memories which make us love you as the front man, so we thought that number 9 is the number that fit for a person like Fernando Torres.

We, the Indonesian, love football very much and it became our favorite sport from generation to generation. No matter from what level we are, football had been playing around Indonesia, from city to village. Those who came from a wealthy class can afford to play in a beautiful green field, and wear the original jersey of Liverpool number 9 which they bough from Adidas, while those who came from the poor class only able to play in ordinary field by wearing their “non-orginal” jersey of Liverpool number 9. We love to wear the Liverpool jersey as long as it prints number 9 of Torres. Even a child love to wear it in his class and say, “how’s my game? Like Torres, isn’t it?” That what football means in my country, and how much we love you as a member of LiverpoolFC.How great and meaningful of football for us is same as how meaningful Torres for LiverpoolFC. Lately, we were a bit disturbed by the news constantly about you that will leave from our beloved team. It makes us confused while we heard the news in the beginning, because we afraid of losing someone with a personality like you, especially when we know that you are being desired by one of our rivals in EPL. But, we realized for what happened after (if) you leave, we become no worries anymore. With the value offered of 50million, we can buy another 3 persons of new Torres and you (Torres) will loose all the loyalty supporters such as traveling kop, the best stand stadium in the world, Kop stand and all million liverpudlian in all over the world.

Last but not least, look how Liverpool shows a positive trend by continuing to revamp the squad in order to achieve the highest level, can you hear that your chants is sung almost in every game like a song You’ll Never Walk Alone?
