THE GREAT (FUTURE) INVESTMENT OF LIVERPOOL FC

The sports industries especially football industries, not always about the transfer (player) record, club acquisition or restructuring the stadium. Currently, the football industries has grown rapidly into the lucrative business. You can see the motivation of an investor who not hesitate to spend a lot of money to acquire the club. Sheikh Munsoor bin Zayed, the prince of Uni Emirat Arab who spend his money to 220 million pound to acquire Manchester City. And the last is our beloved club, Liverpool FC which is acquired by the owner of New England Sports Ventures (NESV), John W. Henry for 300 million pound. I think, that is a large amount, right? Of course.

The owner expect the return of their investment, and how to achieve it? With bring the great players to boost the quality of team to achieve the prestigious place. That will provide competitive advantage in terms of jersey and ticket sales, broadcasting, etc. However, by bringing the star players, you must be prepared to spend a lot of money to pay their salaries.

Liverpool maneuver in the command below their new owner is purchased Luis Suarez and Andy Caroll with price of both, above 50 million pound and the new owner promised to provide more funds in the summer transfer. Moreover, King Kenny also confidence to young players like Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly, John Flanaghan, and Paul Robinson from Melwood. It became an advantage to Liverpool FC than their must buy a star player with high price and high salary of course. It will be a crucial situation if Liverpool FC must be faced with the policy of UEFA, Financial Fair Play (FFP) who’s UEFA Financial Control Panel is already to give a punishment to the club which is considered not profitable. Whereas, to develop young player is something that is not included in the policy clause (FFP). We will see, who and what the policy will be taken by King Kenny.

The business expansion? Global reach? A desire to win the trophy? And the policy of UEFA? What terms that should they take first? You do not need to choose if you can get all these things in one package of investment. And the answer from Liverpool FC management is: “Establishment Plan Academy of Liverpool FC, on Indonesia”. Like Phil Neal and Chris Wren said. You need to trust with us that you can took a good decision. You can see our (natural) talent like Boaz Salossa who has a good ability, or wonder kid like Titus Bonai. And do you see the key success factor of MU that be the favorite Europe team in South Korea? Because their (MU) have Ji-sung Park, as an icon of South Korea. What if Liverpool became the most beloved club the country with a population of 250 million? A country that have a good potential business market? And has a large supporter base? The answer is: profit, either tangible or intangible.

We are waiting for your presence in Indonesia, to the future of our brother, our children’s, as well as the next generation. You have a vision, mission, big name, and we have a lot of resources. I hope, it will be a great synergy between the club needs and the future of Indonesian football it self. And I believe, the smartest investment of Liverpool FC on this year is: build the second Melwood, in Jakarta. #YNWA
